The Hyperlite Source is designed for the wakeboarder who already knows the basics, but wants to improve his jumps towards the pro level. Of course, it is also possible to start wakeboarding with the Source, especially if you are interested in jumping - the Source is a long-lasting board due to its quality construction and will last for years after jumps.
The Source has a 3-stage rocker, which means that the profile of the board is flat in the middle, which makes for low water resistance, making it light to ride. However, the main idea of the 3-stage rocker is to get great bounces from the wave, as the flat middle part of the board directs the pressure directly upwards, making the jump high, which is especially useful when jumping from a small wave.
The board has four removable fins to give extra grip if needed, which is especially useful when learning to carry on the board and pick up momentum on the wave. As your carrying skills improve, you can remove the fins and get a freer feel for the water and easier surface trimming.
The Hyperlite Remix in the package is an easy-to-wear, sturdy bandage for beginner and intermediate wavers to take your hobby to the next level. In wakeboarding, a good binding is the most important piece of equipment for your development - the immediate feel of the board makes the sport easier and speeds up learning dramatically.
An important feature of the Remix binding is the rigid and low base plate, which means that the feel of the board is really immediate when you carry, so the board really starts to carry immediately and there is hardly any delay. It has a medium rigid body, which gives comfort to the foot without sacrificing too much immediate feel. With this binding, even longer sessions are possible without tiring your feet.
The large opening on the foot makes it easy to put on, which makes it suitable for a wide range of foot types. The fastening is done with two separate cords, which allow the bandage to be tightened and adjusted to fit your own foot. The cords have their own attachment on the side of the bandage, so that the cords do not get caught in the bandage.
